【摘要】:Thepurposeofthisguideistointroducethehazardsandrisksinvolvedwiththehandlingofoxygen,cautioningthereaderaboutthelimitationsofpresentpracticesandtechnologyandaboutcommonhazardsthatoftenareoverlooked.ItthenprovidesanoverviewofthestandardsproducedbyASTMCommitteeG-4andtheiruses,aswellassimilardocumentsavailablefromotherknowledgeablesources.Itdoesnothighlightstandardtestmethodsthatsupporttheuseofthesepracticesfromthisorothercommittees.Thestandardsdiscussedherefocusonreducingthehazardsandrisksassociatedwiththeuseofoxygen.Ingeneral,theyarenotdirectlyapplicabletoprocessreactorsinwhichthedeliberatereactionofmaterialswithoxygenissought,asinburners,bleachers,orbubblers.OtherASTMCommitteesandproducts(suchastheCHETAHprogram5)andotheroutsidegroupsaremorepertinentforthese.Thisguideisnotintendedasaspecificationtoestablishpracticesforthesafeuseofoxygen.Thedocumentsdiscussedheredonotpurporttocontainalltheinformationneededtodesignandoperateanoxygensystemsafely.Thecontrolofoxygenhazardshasnotbeenreducedtohandbookprocedures,andthetacticsforusingoxygenarenotunique.Rather,theyrequiretheapplicationofsoundtechnicaljudgementandexperience.Oxygenusersshouldobtainqualifiedtechnicalexpertisetodesignsystemsandoperatingpracticestoensurethesafeuseofoxygenintheirspecificapplications.1.1ThisguidecoversanoverviewoftheworkofASTMCommitteeG-4onCompatibilityandSensitivityofMaterialsinOxygen-EnrichedAtmospheres.Itisastartingpointforthoseaskingthequestion:"Arethereanyproblemsassociatedwithmyuseofoxygen?"Anintroductiontotheuniqueconcernsthatmustbeaddressedinthehandlingofoxygen.Theprincipalhazardistheprospectofignitionwithresultantfire,explosion,orboth.Thishazardrequiresdesignconsiderationsbeyondthosethatapplytoallsystems,suchasadequatestrength,corrosionresistance,fatigueresistance,andpressuresafetyrelief.1.2Thisguidealsolistsseveraloftherecognizedcausesofoxygensystemfiresanddescribesthemethodsavailabletopreventthem.Sourcesofinformationabouttheoxygenhazardanditscontrolarelistedandsummarized.TheprincipalfocusisonGuidesG63,G88,PracticeG93,andGuideG94.Usefuldocumentationfromotherresourcesandliteratureisalsocited.Note18212;Thisguideisanoutgrowthofanearlier(1988)CommitteeG-4videotapeadjunctentitledOxygenSafetyandarelatedpaperbyKochthatfocusedontherecognizedignitionsourceofadiabaticcompressionasoneofthemoresignificantbutoftenoverlookedcausesofoxygenfires.Thisguiderecapitulatesandupdatesmaterialinthevideotapeandpaper.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.ForspecificprecautionarystatementsseeSections8and11.Note28212;ASTMtakesnopositionrespectingthevalidityofanyevaluationmethodsassertedinconnectionwithanyitemmentionedinthisguide.Usersofthisguideareexpresslyadvisedthatdeterminationofthevalidityofanysuchevaluationmethodsanddataandtheriskofuseofsuchevaluationmethodsanddataareentirelytheirownresponsibility.
