【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofwatercontentofsoilandrockbythethermalizationorslowingoffastneutronswheretheneutronsourceandthethermalneutrondetectorbothremainatthesurface.1.2Thewatercontentinmassperunitvolumeofthematerialundertestisdeterminedbycomparingthedetectionrateofthermalizedorslowneutronswithpreviouslyestablishedcalibrationdata.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Theinch-poundequivalentsmaybeapproximate.1.3.1Itiscommonpracticeintheengineeringprofessiontoconcurrentlyusepoundstorepresentbothaunitofmass(lbm)andofforce(lbf).Thisimplicitlycombinestwosystemsofunits,thatis,theabsolutesystemandthegravitationalsystem.Thistestmethodhasbeenwrittenusingtheabsolutesystemforwatercontent(kilogramspercubicmetre)inSIunits.Conversiontothegravitationalsystemofunitweightinlbf/ft3maybemadebymultiplyingby0.06243orinkN/m3bymultiplyingby9.807.Therecordingofwatercontentinpound-forcepercubicfootshouldnotberegardedasnon-conformancewiththistestmethodalthoughtheuseisscientificallyincorrect.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
